Physical and chemical properties: Isobutane is a colorless gas at room temperature and pressure, with a slightly unpleasant odor. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ether, ethanol, chloroform; Relative density is 0.58 g/cm3 (water=1), its melting point is -187.6℃, boiling point is -42.1 ℃, flash point is -104 ℃, upper explosive limit is 9.5%, lower explosive limit is 2.1%, No data on Saturated vapor pressure (kPa) , Vapor density (air=1) is 1.56. Highly flammable.
Packing specifications: Isobutane should be packed in dry, clean cylinders or pressure tanks. Store in a cool, clean, dry place. Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place.
