PTT polyester combines the stain resistance of polyester, the softness of nylon, and the fluffiness of acrylic fiber. At the same time, it boasts excellent dyeability and printability, making it suitable for producing a wide variety of fabrics. Its stain resistance makes garments made from PTT easier to care for and clean; coupled with its outstanding antistatic properties, it can be widely used in carpets, bedding, and other applications. The company has now completed and put into operation the world’s largest integrated PDO/PTT plant, with an annual PTT production capacity of 150,000 tons. The plant adopts original Shell technology, using ethylene oxide as a raw material to produce PDO, which is then esterified and polymerized with PTA to yield the final product, PTT. The project makes extensive use of imported equipment and, aided by intelligent control systems, has achieved significant advantages such as low production costs, high efficiency, and stable product quality.
